Values & Ethics

Values are only interesting where they cost something. These are the five that shape decisions at Ghavelli, with what each one rules out.

1. Price on merit

A stone is worth its cut, colour, clarity and carat — documented by an independent laboratory — not its story. Rules out: "compare-at" theatre, permanent sales, coupon-code games. Our price is the price.

2. Show, don't stage

Every ring is shown in real footage of the actual design at the actual carat. Specifications are published in full, including the ones that don't flatter. Rules out: stock renders passed off as product, borrowed review counts, urgency timers.

3. Transparency over polish

Where documentation is still in progress, we say "in progress" — publicly, on our sustainability promise status board. Rules out: claiming certifications before they're in hand.

4. Made to order, not to landfill

Nothing is cast until it's yours. That's slower than shipping from a shelf — 2–3 weeks — and it means no unsold inventory, no markdown cycle, and a piece made for one owner. Rules out: overproduction and the discounting spiral it forces.

5. The relationship outlasts the receipt

Lifetime warranty, free first-year resize, complimentary annual cleaning and inspection — because the sale is the start of the account, not the settlement of it. Rules out: policies designed to be too tiring to use.
