Meet the Makers
Every Ghavelli ring passes through more hands than you'd guess — none of them rushed. This is the work between "order placed" and the box arriving.
The drawing
Each design begins as a CAD model, refined until the proportions survive every angle: the seat of the centre stone, the taper of the shank, the exact spacing of a pavé seam. The 360° footage you see on the site is rendered from the same geometry the casting house receives — what you approve is what gets made.
The casting
Your ring is cast to order in the metal you chose — no pre-made blanks, no resized leftovers. Casting to order is why we can offer three golds across every design without compromise.
The setting
Stone-setting is the discipline that separates jewelers: seats cut by hand to the stone's exact girdle, prongs drawn over and finished until they hold firm and read delicate. Pavé work is set under magnification, bead by bead. A setter's day is measured in millimetres.
The finish
Polishing happens in stages — emery, tripoli, rouge — until the metal moves light without a ripple. White gold takes its rhodium bath last. Then quality control: stone security, symmetry, measurements against spec, and the grading report matched to the laser inscription on the girdle.
The checkpoint
Before anything ships, every piece is inspected against its order sheet and photographed for its file. If it wouldn't survive the counter test at a fine jeweller — handed over under a loupe — it doesn't ship.
Our ateliers are chosen for craft, not geography, and we're deliberate about publishing what matters: the standards each partner meets. TODO: as partner agreements allow, add photographs and profiles of the specific workshops and setters.
